Membership in Pacific Real Estate Institute is by invitation, and all members are subject to approval by the Board of Trustees, or upon recommendation of a membership committee appointed by the Board.
Invitations to join the Institute are extended to individuals based upon their industry leadership and expertise, their interest in the Institute and the Institute’s objective of maintaining diversity. Corporate and other collective memberships are not offered.
Members pay dues annually in an amount determined by the Board.
The Institute’s members represent various segments of the real estate industry, which include the following:
Attorneys licensed to practice law
Licensed real estate brokers and salespersons
Licensed escrow companies and limited practice officers
Title insurance companies
Banks, life insurance companies and other mortgage lenders
Licensed architects, engineers, surveyors and planners
Licensed contractors MAI or SRA certified appraisers
Developers and investors
Property managers
Other professionals that meet the membership criteria
The membership of Pacific Real Estate Institute is composed of the following categories:
- Active Members. Individuals who are engaged full time in one or more real estate related professions, support the purposes of the Institute and are recognized among their peers as leaders in the real estate industry.
- Senior Members. Former active members who are no longer active in the industry.
- Honorary Members. Persons designated by the Board of Trustees on the basis of services rendered to the Institute.
